Jessica Jung

Jessica Sooyoun Jung , known professionally as Jessica, is a South Koreabased American singer, actress, songwriter, fashion designer, and businesswoman. She was born and raised in San Francisco, California. At the age of eleven, Jessica was discovered by South Korean entertainment agency S.M. Entertainment and subsequently moved to South Korea. Following seven years of training under S.M. Entertainment, she debuted as a member of South Korean girl group Girls Generation in 2007. The group would later go on to be one of the bestselling artists in South Korea and one of South Koreas most popular girl group nationwide as well as worldwide.

Jessica was born in San Francisco. While on vacation in South Korea, she and her sister, Krystal, were spotted in a shopping mall by S.M. Entertainment she later joined the company in 2000. She spent seven years as a trainee before debuting as part of the Korean girl group Girls Generation. Jessica attended Korea Kent Foreign School during her teenage years. Her younger sister, Krystal, is a member of the Korean girl group f. They later had a reality TV show called Jessica amp Krystal. Jessica is fluent in both English and Korean after moving to South Korea at the age of 11.
